Five Healthy Eating Tips You Should Know

Health they say is wealth. Staying healthy is an important part of our lives that we need to consciously maintain. It is for this reason that the following healthy eating tips are offered to you.

1.                    Eat plenty of fruits as well as vegetables

Health experts recommend that we consume a minimum of five servings of various types of fruits including vegetables on a daily basis. One glass of fresh 100% pure fruit juice may count as a serving. Another idea is to chop some banana over cereal for breakfast. This will constitute another serving.

2.                    Reduce consumption of saturated fat including sugar

Although everyone needs to have some amount of fat in their diet. However, what is important to know is the type that you are eating. Now saturated fat and unsaturated fat are the two major kinds of fat that exist. And, consuming a lot of saturated fat may predispose you to heart disease.

So there is a need to seriously cut on eating saturated fat, which is found in foods, like cakes, hard cheese, sausages, butter, pies, lard, cream and biscuits.

3.                      Consume less salt

About 75% of the salt that we consume is already contained in what we buy to eat, so avoid eating a lot of salt since this can lead to high blood pressure, which in turn can lead to heart disease or even stroke.

Make use of food labels to reduce salt intake. Don't exceed 1.5grams of salt for every 100grams of food you eat as this is high.

4.                      Don't avoid breakfast

Skipping breakfast in order to lose weight is not healthy. This is because a healthy meal for breakfast constitutes an essential aspect of a well-balanced diet, as it contributes its own share of vitamins plus minerals required for sound health.

5.                     Drink enough water

To avoid dehydration we should drink at least 1.6 litres or at most 2 litres of water or healthy fluid, like lower-fat milk daily. This amount might increase during warm weather or days that we are more active.

Freelancing in Nigeria is possible

It is possible that a lot of people may not be aware of the fact that quite a number of Nigerians are earning money online through legitimate means. Yes there might be a lot of people smearing the image of the country and earning the much coveted dollars in a way that leaves much to be desired. However, if the truth must be told there are at least a few of us who are earning this same dollars or naira in a way that is legitimate. Therefore, online freelancing in Nigeria is indeed taking place in this country and only few have discovered its potential.

Now if you are interested I must state firstly that this is not another get rich quick scheme, but an attempt to earn money online by doing what you love doing. And if you have not read my initial post about freelancing titled "What is freelancing?" please do so. Here you will find out that I made mention of some freelancing websites, namely; Scriptlance, Freelancer, etc.

I am aware at least that some Nigerians are making money on these two sites. I have made some money myself on Scriptlance and continue to do so. The most common way to earn money online in Nigeria that I know is through writing articles. Of course there are other ways, but this seems to be what is very common in Nigeria as well as anywhere in the world for earning a reasonable income.
